Empathy across boundaries
Karunava is the greeting between fellow travelers making pilgrimage to Sri Pada, also known as Adam’s Peak, a mountaintop sanctuary shared by people of many faiths. Saying Karunava means “compassion to you,” and is a reminder to all who climb of our common humanity. The Karunava Project is inspired by the many people who embody this kindheartedness.
Finding common values
The psychedelic community is filled with many different people, traditions, and philosophies of practice. Around what melody can we coordinate our dance? Reflecting on our own experiences, we noticed that the deepest healing came when in the presence of acceptance and sharing. Through Karunava, we offer this path of service and harmony with life.
Peace through compassion
One way our society copes with suffering is by placing it out of sight and mind. Instead, we need to invite back into our hearts the reality of what is happening. Only then can we begin to mend our wounds and reconnect with each other. By offering care to all who need, regardless of their life situation, we repair our community circle.
